Welcome! I'm Alisa Simonson.

I am a wife to a super guy and mother to six amazing daughters. I have been blessed to have been involved with music from a young age-- first singing, then piano and flute lessons. Music became my passion and I've been immersed in it ever since with lessons, choirs, teaching, and volunteering.

I have a music degree from Brigham Young University in flute, and have been teaching flute and piano lessons since 1999. Private lessons were always fun, but when I discovered Let's Play Music with my oldest daughter in 2010, I knew I needed to be a teacher someday! I started teaching in 2016 and what joy it has brought into my life.

Five of my daughters have graduated from LPM so far, and it has been the most amazing foundation to their musical lives. All of them play piano and other instruments, plus they can sing in harmony easily and speak the language of music. I can attest to the power of a good musical framework and how it affects a child's life!
